Management

Governance

PenCLAHRC is governed by a Management Board, chaired by the Dean of the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry, which includes representatives from all partners in the collaboration. PenCLAHRC is managed by a Director who is accountable to this Management Board.

The Director has a small Executive Group which is made up of the research and implementation theme leads, clinical locality leads and various management roles including deputy directors, leads for patient and public involvement and evaluation. This group is tasked with overseeing day to day management issues, ensuring good communication and project integration.

Each PenCLAHRC project has a separate project team which reports to the Executive Group. Each team is led by an academic lead, supported by a project facilitator. One member of the Executive Group is nominated to take overall responsibility for the dellivery of each project.

A patient, carer and public led advisory group, the PenPIG, has also been established with the role of ensuring that adequate account is taken of the need for involvement is all aspects of PenCLAHRC's work. As well as reporting to the Executive Group, it also has representation on the Management Board and on the Stakeholder Prioritisation Panel which determines priority projects from the question generation process.
