Workshop Details

Following on from the morning's seminar this workshop is open to all researchers and research-facing professional service staff and is recommended for those interested in using creative methods to engage people with research and disseminate their findings beyond traditional academic journals.

This practical workshop will draw upon the team's generic and specific skills to provide individual support and encourage researchers to consider the strategies they can adopt and develop in order to maximise the impact of their own research.

Workshop attendees will be asked to:

  • Consider the messages they want to communicate.
  • Identify their target audiences, how their needs may vary, and appropriate ways of engaging them through film and social media
  • Discuss potential networks and resources that may be available to them to support their media engagement strategy.
  • Design and tailor their own strategy and personal branding

Workshop participants are advised to bring their laptop and mobile phone.
