Evidence Synthesis Team
The Evidence Synthesis Team (EST) supports PenCLAHRC's objectives through three sets of activities.
- By working with Locality Leads in the NHS to identify patients' and clinicians' key uncertainties (i.e. research questions) and supporting PenCLAHRC's prioritisation processes.
- By undertaking evidence synthesis research to address priority questions where primary research evidence exists; or through using evidence and local data to explore potential new ways of organising services (operations research)
- By supporting applications for external funding to support new research to resolve PenCLAHRC's priority questions and to support the evaluation of implementation activities with the NHS
The PenCLAHRC Evidence Synthesis Team comprises four researchers, Ken Stein, Rebecca Whear, Rebecca Abbott and Jo Thompson-Coon, supported by PenCLAHRC's Information Specialists Morwenna Rogers and Alison Bethel.
