Professor Jon Pinkney from the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry (PCMD) is hosting the 12th Annual Plymouth ‘Diabesity’ Symposium on Obesity, Diabetes and the Metabolic Syndrome on Thursday 24 May 2012 at the Postgraduate Medicine Centre, Plymouth. International Workshop: Research Agenda and Priority Setting
Organised by the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry and funded by Plymouth University, this two-day workshop for researchers aims to:
- illustrate the diversity of research priority setting methods used in different countries and different contexts
- provide an overview of the current empirical research conducted in the field of research priority setting
- facilitate discussion about the type of research needed to inform future decisions in this field
- plan future research collaborations and explore funding opportunities
The workshop will be run over two days: 1st - 2nd June and held at Plymouth University, although there will be video-conferencing to Exeter, Truro and Belfast.
