Job opportunity - Implementation Science Associate Research Fellow or Research Fellow

Posted on May 26th 2016

We are looking to recruit an Associate Research Fellow or Research Fellow (depending upon experience) who will be responsible for supporting implementation science research within new and existing PenCLAHRC projects, as well as for developing our conceptual and methodological work on this topic. This is a full time post and is available from 1 September 2016 until 31 August 2018.

The successful applicant will be expected to conduct high-quality research in collaboration with partner organisations, communicate complex information to academic and non-academic audiences verbally and in writing and help prepare funding applications to external bodies. The extent of involvement in these activities will depend on the candidate's experience and skills.

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or be nearing completion) or have an equivalent qualification and/or experience of working within established research programmes. They should be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of implementation science and related fields (e.g. knowledge mobilisation, knowledge translation, quality improvement), as well as having experience of research methods and techniques. At Research Fellow level, the successful applicant will be a nationally recognised authority within their health services research field and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research programmes and methodologies.

The deadline for applications is 24th June 2016. To discuss this role further, please contact Dr Iain Lang (I.Lang@exeter.ac.uk) or Dr Mark Pearson (mark.pearson@exeter.ac.uk).
