We are looking to appoint a Communications Assistant who will make a significant contribution to the delivery of communication activities for PenCLAHRC.
This is an interesting opportunity for a highly organised individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who has the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner. The post holder is required to have excellent IT skills, strong attention to detail, and be able to plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload in the face of conflicting demands. They will have previous experience of working in a communications or marketing role, including the use of website content management systems and social media. Experience of working in a healthcare and/or academic environment would be an advantage.
A key element of the role is to support the work of the Communications Manager, which includes updating and general maintenance of the PenCLAHRC website, managing the PenCLAHRC social media presence via Twitter, compiling and distributing a regular e-newsletter, and assisting in marketing activities, including attending and producing marketing materials for events that require a PenCLAHRC presence.
The post-holder will occasionally be required to provide additional communications and administrative support to Research Managers and the Events Assistant in the wider PenCLAHRC project support team.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 2 November 2016. This position is available immediately for a fixed term period of 12 months and is full-time, although other working arrangements may be considered.
