We are looking to recruit a part-time Graduate Research Assistant to support the work of Dr Vicki Goodwin as part of a multi-centre trial of a home-based exercise intervention as extended rehabilitation for older people with frailty (HERO). The successful applicant will be recruiting and consenting participants and undertaking data collection as part of the internal pilot randomised controlled trial.
This National Institute of Health Research funded part-time (0.5FTE) post is available 1 November 2017 until 1 May 2018.

A team of researchers specialising in care for older people, including PenCLAHRC Senior Research Fellow Dr Vicki Goodwin, have received £2 million of funding from the National Institute for Health Research Health Technology Assessment (NIHR HTA) Programme to conduct a five year national study looking at how rehabilitation can be improved for older people with frailty, following discharge from hospital after an acute illness or injury.
