This page provides more detail about the portfolio of PenCLAHRC projects. There are a variety of routes through which research questions become projects, but our adoption processes have the same three key aims:   

  • Conduct patient-focused research reflecting the needs of the public and the NHS
  • Support evidence-based service change for the benefit of patients and the public
  • Build capacity within the local health economy to generate and effectively use the results of research

This modelling project, undertaken for the Strategic Clinical Network urgent care review, has examined the expected impact of centralising stroke and heart attack services in the mixed urban/rural communities of the South West. Read more
