I am currently an Associate Research Fellow for the CATCh-uS project – Children and Adolescents with ADHD in Transition from Children’s to Adult Services. The project focuses on what happens to young people with ADHD when they are too old to stay within children’s services and has three main streams; a six month surveillance study of young people with ADHD, a qualitative study exploring views and experiences of service users, and a mapping study to establish location of services.
Prior to this, I joined the University in 2012 as an Associate Research Fellow for the Helping Children Achieve project. This study aimed to find out what type of parenting programme would best support children at risk of poor outcomes due to antisocial behaviour. In 2013 I moved on to the Supporting Children and Teachers in School or STARS study. This study examines whether attending the Incredible Years Teacher Classroom Management course can increase teachers’ skills in classroom management, and improve child behaviour and learning.
