Staff Profile

Dr James Fullam

Kath Maguire

I am a researcher with a broad background in public health and health services research. I joined PenCLAHRC in January 2017 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Health Services Research. At PenCLAHRC I will be involved with a range of projects relating to older people.

After my primary degree in Zoology I pursued a PhD in the emerging area of Health Literacy. Subsequently I worked with an industry-led research group that focused on costing and mapping dementia care pathways. More recently I coordinated a collaborative programme for building research capacity among clinically based specialised and advanced nurses in Ireland. I am interested in clinical-academic collaborations and the application of research to improve older persons’ experience and outcomes in the healthcare system.
