I am a registered mental health nurse specialising in dementia care, in both community and long-term settings. In April 2015, I commenced a National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) funded PhD through PenCLAHRC, as part of the ‘Research Capacity in Dementia Care Programme’ (RCDCP). I have an undergraduate degree in health and social care and an MSc in dementia studies. I also helped set up a memory café in Cornwall, where I continue to take an active part in the ongoing running and development.
