PenCLAHRC is committed to identifying priority clinical questions so that we can bring university
research expertise to the benefit of patient care.
We are interested in hearing ideas from clinicians, managers and people using the health service in the south west peninsula which could be developed into research projects. We consider all ideas posted and prioritise the best for action using a stakeholder group representing all our partners.
Our experience has shown that the process generates more questions than can be addressed. We therefore use an explicit prioritisation system based on:
- The size of the health problem.
- The potential for health improvement.
- The practicality of the research question.
- Whether the South West is a good place to do this research.
- Alignment with priority set by NHS South West
