Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the ICoN project – improving continence in children and young people with neurodisability. The project is part of PenCRU, the childhood disability research unit within PenCLAHRC. Using an online survey and a systematic review, this project aims to find out how NHS staff assess and treat children with neurodisability to help them become continent.

Prior to this I worked as part of the Child Health Group on the CATCh-uS project, Children and Adolescents with ADHD in Transition from Children’s to Adult Services, looking at what happens to young people with ADHD when they are too old for children’s services; the Healthy Lifestyles Programme (HeLP), a PenCLAHRC supported project which is a novel school based obesity prevention intervention; and also on the Helping Children Achieve project, establishing what type of parenting programme would best support children at risk of poor outcomes due to antisocial behaviour.
